Did you miss the sale?

Don’t worry, there are still a number of things still marked down! You can still snatch up some great deals, so be sure to come see what we’ve got before you get your holiday gift making plans all sorted out! Look for the sale signs around the store or ask one of the lovely Bolt staff members, they’d be happy to help.

Wrap it up on Alberta

That’s the name of an upcoming event happening on the street. It will include a whole slew of businesses up and down Alberta Street–art, shoes, wine, designer dresses, food and drink…fabric. Each business that is involved will have their own event going on, maybe a trunk show, a tasting, who knows, come find out! We’ll be joining in and offering up a 10% discount to your entire purchase (not to be combined with other current discounts). TBest of all, a portion of the day’s proceeds (from all participants) will be donated to Sisters of the Road, a non-profit in Old Town doing work related to homelessness, poverty, hunger, dignity, respect, non-violence and compassion.  Check out their site for more information.  The event takes place on Saturday, November 22nd, all day and we’ll be lighting up trees along the street at 5.  Make a day of it, enjoy all the street has to offer!

Custom cards and gift tags class!!

How exciting! One of a kind, handmade cards and gift tags made from your fancy scraps!! Come and learn how to turn those great leftovers into beautiful, hand crafted cards. Cut, paste, draw, sew, color, and paint!! Card stock and gift tags will be supplied. This is a one night class, offered two times–find the dates and other details on the class page.

Late nights, days off and other holiday time details

We will be keeping the store open until 8 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of November and December! Those dates are November 5th and 19th and December 3rd and 17th. So, take your time after work, maybe have dinner at one of Alberta Street’s fine restaurants, and for all you knitters out there, you can make it a textile evening and stop in on their knit night!

We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, the 27th and Friday, the 28th.

Our last day of business before Christmas will be Sunday, December 21st. We will be closed Monday, the 22nd through Friday, the 26th. We’ll resume our regular hours Saturday, December 27th.

Lastly, we will be closed New Year’s Day.

We offer gift certificates for any denomination and you can purchase one over the phone. We can either mail the certificate out or keep it on file at the store. Feel free to ask any of our staff for gift ideas, we have all sorts of things to suggest!
