Learn the Palmer/Pletsch Tissue-Fitting Method and never sew a muslin again: try on your pattern tissue, alter it, cut from fabric then fit as you sew. This method has been thrilling sewists from around the world for 30 years in Palmer/Pletsch workshops In Portland and across the country.
In this 3-hour seminar, Helen will give you an overview of how tissue-fitting can work for you to make perfectly-fitting garments. We will concentrate on fitting the upper body with a comprehensive presentation followed by a hands-on tissue-fitting demo featuring an in-house Bolt model.
You will see how the system works and have the opportunity to join the limited-space hands-on fitting classes with Helen, held in Bolt’s lovely new classroom. Small classes mean more instructor time for each student.
Your instructor, Helen Bartley, teaches the Palmer/Pletsch Fit, Pants, Jeans, and Knits workshops here in Portland and has worked alongside Marta Alto and Pati Palmer, authors of the book “The Palmer/Pletsch Complete Guide to Fitting” for the past ten years. Her goal is to help you perfect your garment creation by starting with the most critical part-FIT. You will never have another fit disaster!
No materials or supplies are needed for this class! Just bring yourself and a pen and paper if you’d like to take notes.
