This class meets twice. Friday August 2nd from 6 pm - 8 pm, and Saturday August 3rd from 11 am - 6 pm.
Are you as obsessed with the new Wiksten Shift Pattern as we are? Well, you’re in luck! Now you can learn to make it from the designer herself!
Jenny will bring us her inside scoop on this super popular pattern. On Friday night we will have an optional (but super helpful!) 2 hour cutting session, where students can come and get fit and sizing tips and ideas from Jenny, and cut out their pattern pieces. Saturday will be an all-day sew-a-thon from 11 - 6 (students should come with pattern pieces cut out and ready to sew,) and students will leave with their finished shift in hand.
This loose shift is both comfortable and elegant, the perfect wardrobe staple. Choose from three different lengths: a cropped top, above-the-knee dress, or calf-length dress with side slits. The top has a plain back, while the dress has added fullness from back gathers. Patch pockets, waist tie, and three quarter length sleeve options are included. The neck is finished with an easy-to-sew facing. Some of the skills students will learn are top stitching, edge stitching, gathering, sewing curved seams, side slits, neck facing.
