Whole Cloth Baby Quilt

  • Bolt Neighborhood Fabric Boutique 4636 Northeast 42nd Avenue, Ste C Portland, OR, 97218 United States (map)

Showcase a fabric print by making a whole-cloth baby quilt and hand stitching around the pattern motifs. Students will learn how to attach satin blanket binding, which babies love, and sew mitered corners. There will be some hand stitching homework to finish up your quilt but it’s the perfect time of year for outdoor stitching fun. In the end students will have a quilt as sweet and special as the little one receiving it.

Materials needed:

  • 1 1/8 yard pre-washed quilting cotton with a large motif

  • 1 1/8 yard solid quilting cotton for backing

  • 1 package satin binding

  • 1 package quilt batting in baby size

  • 2 balls Perle Cotton

  • 1 package embroidery needles

Materials and supplies are NOT included in the price of the class. All materials are available to purchase at Bolt, either in store or online. Students will receive 10% off of supplies purchased at Bolt. Please purchase supplies in advance of the class, as it is necessary to pre-wash fabric to achieve desired fit.
