Handmade Beginnings and Other New Things

Thank you for all the comments on our giveaway post-- the winners have been notified (Laura J. and Megan!), but don't lose hope!  There will be a whole new stack of fabric for June including some of that Joel Dewberry there was so much talk of.

New Things in the Store This Week:

  • Anna Maria Horner's new book Handmade Beginnings (check out the giveaway on the Wiley site) is here and it's a good one.  I reviewed it here, but I should restate how much I appreciate her attention to detail and thorough pattern checking.

  • There are brand new bolts of waterproof fabric in the store, which is timely since it WILL NOT STOP RAINING.  There are 4 different colours/finishes, but my favourite is a dark teal, matte finish nylon (7.95/yard) which would work great with Amy Butler's new coat pattern or a new bag for my bike.

  • We have a few new Alexander Henry large scale novelty prints (always awesome).

  • And a little eye candy for your week-- Kim is back from Quilt Market and she's started posting her reports.  It's hard not to get all fabric crazy looking through her pictures.

Stay dry, People.
