Embroidery for Shorter Days
Alicia Paulson's, Embroidery Companion: Classic Designs for Modern Living has just arrived on our shelves. It is beautiful. If you do not embroider, you're going to get this book and learn how to. Quickly. And for those of you seasoned with handwork, these patterns will not disappoint. Fall is an ideal time to pick up some linen and floss and settle in.
If you're going to get an extra copy for gift giving (a great idea), you might want to check out our embroidered card kits from another Portland designer, Curious Doodles. They are sweet and clever and go together in a snap.
Or maybe some glow in the dark thread from Sublime Stitching? Maybe not what Alicia had in mind, but it's pretty flippin' cool. Plus it will lighten up the impending greyness of a PNW winter, and we could all use a little of that.
