Offering a Little Relief
We're collecting donations to send to Mercy Corps and their partner in Japan, Peace Winds. For every five dollar donation, you'll be able to enter yourself in a raffle for one of two sweet prizes. You can contribute at the store or over the phone (as we're available). Both bundles contain a favourite Japanese Sewing book (written in English) and a stack of gorgeous fabric.
The first gift bundle includes the gorgeous Quilting Line + Color by Yoshiko Jizenji and a stack of 1/2 yards of beautiful Japanese quilt weight cotton.
The second bundle includes the wildly popular Patchwork Style: 35 Simple Projects for a Cozy and Colorful Life by Suzuko Koseki and a stack of 3/4 yards of quilt weight cotton from Kokka.
**Susan and Daniela are well under way organizing and executing Quilts for Quake Survivors. There are now chapters in Atlanta and Detroit!
**Seven Islands, importer of many of our Japanese fabric, is hosting a quilt drive:
We, Seven Islands, Inc. would like to help the people in Japan who are in need. We are trying to collect as many quilts as possible to send to the victims of the devastating tsunami. If you would like to take part in the Seven Islands, Inc. “Quilt Drive for Japan”, kindly send any size quilt or quilts to:
Seven Islands, Inc.
