Flickr Inspiration: September’s Pick
Congratulations to our frind Peggy Noto who has won this month’s Flickr pool contest. Peggy has been making bags like crazy and we always love to see what she comes up with.
Here’s what she had to say about this project:
: : I was happy to find at Bolt the Waterfront Park fabric with Portland bridges and swifts. On the same trip to Bolt I saw the Stof—Uno fabric (it comes from Denmark) with raindrops and bicycles. I combined the fabrics to make a “Portlandia” themed pouch. The Triple Zip Pouch pattern is from here. The Portlandia Pouch will make its way to Maine in my daughter’s suitcase when she returns to college in a few days.
Thank you for featuring my pouch! I am a huge fan of Bolt. It is by far my favorite fabric shop. The combination of the wonderful women who work at Bolt and the carefully selected fabrics brings me in again and again. I like the fact that Bolt carries a whole range of fabrics as well as patterns, books and lots of interesting sewing notions. Gina and her team are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I am currently obsessed with making bags, and I am often inspired by Hannah’s creative bags and her eye for detail. Bolt makes it easy to Shop Local! : :
