Spring Sewing List

Although right this second, it feels like the sun is an old wives tale and it will rain forever and ever, we have to believe that warm, and more importantly dry, weather will come in it's own good time. We are strong believers at Bolt, so we've been getting in some beautiful lightweight wovens and nature inspired prints that have me very inspired to sew for the season that I want rather than the season that I have.

This Kimono Sleeve dress by Salme Patterns in this gorgeous and very spring-like mud-and-daffodils abstract rayon print would be lovely over jeans right now or on it's own in that far off future of bare legs and sandals.

I've been dreaming of a Washi Dress in a bold African wax print for a few months.

A drapey cardigan - the Laurelhurst or a modified Lark tee - is always handy. The gold and turquoise geometric print would be really cool.

I think this Japanese cotton/linen blend is one of the most beautiful prints around. I love the yellow and cherry blossom pink together, and it looks beautiful with our leather handles. The Caravan Tote is another spot on bag pattern from Noodlehead.

How about some lightweight, breezy pants? Pants No. 1 by Sonya Philips in a linen/rayon blend would be perfect and very versatile.

What are your spring sewing plans?
