Sweet New Bag Patterns

By Sarah

We are so excited about all of our new bag patterns and if you don't see one you like, you might be a bag snob, just sayin. The Bugsy Backpack is such a cool design and the maker was very considerate to offer all the hardware needed in one complete package. So there's no need to go hunting down all your metal dodads which can be quite a drag.

If you are in the mood to make a carrier to hold just your PKW (phone, keys, wallet), these cute little zip pouches by She Quilts A Lot should fit the bill, literally. Or try your hand at the Pearl wallet or Marianne clutch by Swoon. These are great project options for using up your fabric scraps.

I love carrying a large tote as my purse because it often doubles as my shopping bag. The Townie Bag or the Explorer Tote are on my to-make list as I need a new 'shopping purse'. This Dallas Vintage Duffel bag looks pretty easy to make and would be great for the gym or for travel. If you prefer to stay organized this Sydney bag by Swoon will be sure to please with its many compartments and pockets.

Pictured above are several very easy patterns for newbies who are looking to take on their first sewing project. The Village Bag by The Sewing Workshop is interesting in design as is the Sew Square bag by Sew Demented.

These four bags are a little more involved but, oh my goodness, aren't they great!? We just got in some sparkle vinyl which would be perfect for the Lola Domed Handbag or the Maisie Bowler Handbag as the accent fabric. We have plenty of lively prints here at the shop (I don't have to tell y'all that) for these fun statement bags. Come peruse our bag pattern selection next time you're in or give us a call if you need one shipped to you. Get your bag making on!
