Level 2:
Assumes you have completed several simple projects on a sewing machine
Join Christiane and learn how to make a professional looking bag with the Noodlehead Quarry Tote pattern. Christiane has been making bag samples for us for years and we’ve had repeated requests for a class with her. She’s agreed to a small group class for 4 people.
In this 3 session class, you will learn to use zipper tape to install a zipper pocket, as well as create a circular base with confidence. Christiane will lead you through the steps during class. Between classes you’ll work on next steps for your project, or on the other size tote. This pattern is ideal for working with dry oilskin, or with light weight canvas with woven fusible interfacing for the exterior. Christiane will also take you on a mini field trip to the shop to discuss how she chooses fabric if time allows.
This class will not cover the cross body strap or recessed top zipper, but Christiane will show you how to install a magnetic snap closure if you’d like to add one.
