Come learn to make this charming tote in one of two sizes! The Triangle Frill Tote from Tytka Studio would be wonderful as a gift, or to make for yourself. Techniques covered include gathering heavyweight fabrics such as canvas and adding a lining bag. Choose the small (approximately 10”x12”) or medium (approximately 13”x14”). Pattern is included in class fee.

This class is suitable for Level 1 and above. You must know how to use a sewing machine and follow and cutting layout as you will be asked to bring your pieces already cut to the first class. Ages 18 and up.

Our classroom is on the second floor and is currently only accessible by stairs. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone. This class requires a minimum of 3 participants. The class may be subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not achieved.

    • how to thread and use a sewing machine

    • basic sewing vocabulary

    • sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance

    • hemming

    • handling heavy weight fabric such as canvas

    • adding a lining to a bag

  • Small Bag: (10×12”)

    • ¾ yard of light to mid-weight canvas for outer

    • ¾ yard mid-weight fabric such as quilting cotton for lining

    Medium Bag: (13×14”)

    • 1 ¼ yards of light to mid-weight canvas for outer

    • 1 ¼yard mid-weight fabric such as quilting cotton for lining
