Three Thursdays
July 10th, 17th, and 24th
5:30 to 8:30pm
$200
During this three-session class, students will learn a variety of techniques to create perfect curved blocks in their quilts. We will cover three common curved blocks: quarter circles, half circles, and inset circles. You will also learn how to create your own curved templates which will allow you to create curved blocks of any size!
Students will use the In Bloom quilt pattern by Juli Rae to practice their quarter, half, and inset circle blocks, and if time allows piece their blocks together into the final quilt top.
This class is appropriate for intermediate or experienced quilters who are looking to explore quilt designs beyond straight lines. It is recommended that you have taken the Introduction to Quilting class or have confidently completed at least one quilt. The focus of this class is piecing quilt tops and will not cover finishing the quilt (quilt sandwich, quilting, and binding).
