Want to make jeans but nervous to start? Jeans are complex, but they don’t have to be scary! In this class, you’ll go step by step through the process of making jeans (using a pattern of your choice) and learn tips for topstitching, sewing with thick fabrics, assembling a fly, and more!
The first class will cover choosing a size, making a muslin, and making any fit adjustments you may need. The following three classes will then cover jeans construction.
Not sure what pattern to pick? We’ve compiled a list of some of our favorites below!
Any pattern you select must have a yoke or back darts and a fly front.
Please note that jeans are not recommended as a first pants project. We highly recommend that participants are familiar with basic pants construction.
