No serger? No problem! Learn how to finish your seams and hem edges with a variety of techniques using your regular sewing machine. Discover which finishes are best for different fabrics and garments. Practice in class making samples of French seams, flat-felled seams, a Hong Kong finish and more.

All materials included. Students will take home their own set of samples.

    • how to thread and use a sewing machine

    • basic sewing vocabulary

    • sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance

    • how to finish seams without a serger, using French seams, flat felled seams, Hong Kong finishes, and more!

    • seam finish tips and tricks to make your garments neat, beautiful, and durable

Ages 18 and up.
