Brand new to sewing? This two day workshop will walk you through threading and using a sewing machine, all the way through to finishing a pair of elastic waist shorts. Kick off the summer with a solid foundation for a new hobby!

This class is suitable for absolute beginner sewists (we will cover machine basics), but would be fun for more advanced beginners as well!

This class is part of our machine basics series and will cover threading and using a sewing machine. You do not need to know how to sew—we will teach you! We have enough basic sewing machines available in the studio and you don’t need to bring one, but if you have one at home that you would prefer to learn on please reach out to us at classes@boltfabricboutique.com. You’ll find more information about our class levels here!

This is a Level 0 class. You’ll find more information about our class levels here!

Taught by Sara Moskovitz.

Ages 18 and up.

Our classroom is on the second floor and is currently only accessible by stairs. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone. Thanks for your understanding and patience while we work this out. You may e-mail us at classes@boltfabricboutique.com if you have any questions about this process.

This class requires a minimum of 2 participants. The class may be subject to cancellation if the minimum enrollment is not achieved.
