The Merchant & Mills Workwear book presents five complete unisex patterns, all based on traditional workwear shapes and detailing. Bolt is celebrating its release with a series of hands-on workshops.

This simple, gender neutral workwear shirt or dress comes with a grandad collar or shirt collar, a button-through front placket, breast patch pockets, back yoke and button cuffs.

Taught by Tanya Hartnett.

    • You can thread and operate a sewing machine.

    • Shirt construction, including placket, collars, and cuffs

    • Sewing buttonholes by machine

    • The Merchant & Mills Workwear Book

    • Fabric in yardage required for your chosen size: 

      Light- to medium-weight wovens such as cotton poplin, cotton chambray, Indian handlooms, hemp/cotton, lightweight denim.

    • Coordinating thread

    • 6 ½” Buttons

    • ½ yard fusible interfacing
