You are comfortable with basic apparel patterns but want help on more precision such as zipper flies

The Lander Pants pattern by True Bias is a perfect introduction to sewing pants. Autumn Lapour will guide you through the process from beginning to end while you gain confidence in garment construction. We will use the zipper expansion to give your Lander's a zipper fly. You will work on many skills in this class, starting with choosing the right size for you, to your unique finishing touches. 

    • Comfortable using a sewing machine

    • Have completed simple garments and feel ready to tackle more complicated projects or those requiring more precision

    • Grading between pattern sizes

    • Installing a zipper fly

    • Planning personalized details

    • Lander Pants pattern from our shop or PDF pattern (2 pages of large format printing included with class)

    • Zipper expansion print at home pdf

    • Mid- heavy weight fabric yardage based on pattern recommendation (If you are grading between sizes buy enough for the larger size)

    • Coordinating thread

    • Coordinating jeans zipper

    Optional:

    • ½ yard lighter weight fabric such as quilting cotton or lawn for pockets

    Autumn will provide jeans tack buttons, interfacing and a selection of lining fabrics for pockets if you don’t want buy your own.
