Skill Building with Marla Kazell: Corners and Curves

Learn to overcome wobbly curves, crooked corners, lumps, bumps, and bulky edges. Sharp corners and smooth curves are the result when you understand how to trim, grade, notch, understitch and press properly. Make samples in class and learn techniques to make your seams and edges perfect.

Taught by Marla Kazell.

All materials included. Students will take home their own set of samples.

    • How to thread and use a sewing machine

    • Basic sewing vocabulary

    • Sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance

    • Trimming, grading, notching, understitching, and pressing seams

    • Tips and techniques for neat, precise corners and curves

This is a Level 1 class. You’ll find more information about our class levels here!

Ages 18 and up.
