The Modern Sewing Co. Devon and the Merchant and Mills Billy vests are boxy pieces excellent for layering over button ups to give an extra layer of cozy warmth in the changeable weather of late winter and early spring.

    • how to thread and use a sewing machine

    • basic sewing vocabulary

    • sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance

    • hemming

    • following a pattern/common pattern terminology

    • working with heavy-weight fabrics

      and more!

  • You will need

    • Devon or Billy vest Pattern

    • refer to your chosen pattern for fabric yardage

    • coordinating thread

    • 2 buttons (or more to your taste) for the Devon or 6 metal snaps for the Billy

    • ¾ yard interfacing

Ages 18 and up.
