Just in: Make It Perfect, Lori Mason and needle arts!

I’ve got a lot to share with you!  Let’s start with this new (to us) line of patterns, Make It Perfect.  I’m currently working on that cutie-pie tunic/dress in the middle above.  The pattern is well written and well constructed.  I’ll be sure to give you a more thorough review once it’s done!  I love the easy style of these designs and their practicality.  They are things I can easily see fitting into my wardrobe and looking very different depending on the fabric of choice.  Enjoy a few more pics of these:

We also received two fantastic hand stitching books.  Alyssa Thomas of Penguin and Fish, has her new book out, full of her sweet, amusing, often animal-filled designs.  She’s clever.

And, I’m quite in love with the Folk Art Needlecraft book.  It’s delightful.  I just want to lounge around outside in this fantastic summer weather and stitch myself a whole new interior for my home!  Look at these adorable seat cushions.

Lori Mason is another one of those very talented of Portland fabric designers we’ve been thrilled to have in the store.  I remember when she stopped by once it just so happened that a couple of customers were deciding between two of her prints for their purchase.  Great timing!  Her designs are so organic and natural.  Kyoto Garden is her first line for Andover Fabrics, and it’s lovely.  Thank you Lori!

Lastly, we received a group from German fabric company, Stof.  Uno is full of Portland-friendly images: raindrops and bikes…

See you soon!  And, remember, we’re happy to ship anything, if you aren’t near by and want to get your hands on some of these goodies.
