Saturday
June 6th
10:00am - 2:00pm
Level 0: No experience necessary

Confidently choose color palettes for your projects! Understanding the science behind color and training your eye to see the subtle differences between hues can make a world of difference in choosing fabric with confidence and intention. This class will be a mix of learning and practical application to practice the various concepts. Bring your fabric stash and let’s play around the color wheel!

Taught by Juli Rae

    • The four elements of color: hue, value, saturation, and clarity and how these interact with each other

    • How to use harmony and contrast to create a balanced color palette

    • Build a color wheel using fabric from your stash

    • Fabric from your stash! Juli recommends bringing anything between a 3” swatch to a yard of 20-30 different colors (these can be solids or prints). If you don’t have that many or are not able to bring your own fabric to class, no worries! Juli will have a selection of fabric for you to use in class..
