Join Angela Creais and learn how to make the classic beginner-friendly 9-patch Friendship Star quilt block and use it to create a beautiful 10" potholder or hot pad to use daily. This class is a good introduction to the basics of piecing a block and machine quilting.

  • This class assumes you can thread and operate a sewing machine.

    • Basic piecing for a quilt block

    • Creating a quilt sandwich

    • Binding a thick edge

    • Using a walking foot

    • 2 fat quarters or similar amount of a light-medium weight cotton such as quilting cotton, shirting, etc.

    • 1 ¼ yard Bias tape

    • Coordinating thread

    • Wonder clips or similar
