Introduction to English Paper Piecing: Pin Cushions

  • Bolt Studio 4928 NE 29th Avenue Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

Saturday June 27th
10:00am to 1:00pm
Level 0 No experience needed

In this class Angela will show you the basics of English Paper Piecing to make small hexagon-shaped pin cushions to use at home.

English Paper Piecing or EPP is a traditional patchwork technique using scraps of fabric formed around temporary paper templates, then hand-sewn together to create intricate patterns. It's fun, portable, and can be a great way to disengage from your phone.

    • Selection of scraps from your own projects or stash, or a selection of fat quarters

    • coordinating hand quilting thread

    • needles (quilting or sharps)

Our classroom is up one flight of stairs and is not currently wheelchair accessible. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone. Thanks for your understanding and patience while we work this out. You may e-mail us at classes@boltfabricboutique.com if you have any questions about this process. You can see our studio here.

For 18 years and up.
