Improv Quilting: Birds with Abandon

  • Bolt Fabric Boutique 4928B Northeast 29th Avenue Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

$140

Curious about improv quilting? Here’s another great entry in Robin O’Neil’s Improv quilt series!

Robin says: This is a collage workshop. We are NOT making realistic birds … but birds we like to imagine. There are no templates/ no patterns/ no rules and no judgement! This is FUN! We  will use scraps of fabric - solids or prints. This will require no special sewing skill. The pieces can be appliquéd by hand or machine or both and there are no “bad” birds.

Taught by Robin O’Neil.

  • how to thread and operate a sewing machine

how to sew a (mostly) straight line and maintain a ¼ inch seam allowance

  • how to sew ten different design units using improv quilting techniques

This is a Level 1/2 class. You’ll find more information about our class levels here!
