Play with improvisational appliqué techniques and make pictures with fabric! Students will start with a background fabric and learn handwork and machine appliqué techniques to make art quilt tops inspired by flowers. Students will work on a small wall hanging quilt (16”x16”), and if there is time will assemble the quilt sandwich and start hand quilting with sashiko-type stitches.
From Robin: This is a day to make “flower” pictures out of fabric. This is an improvisational collage exercise that uses machines or handwork for appliqué. No experience is needed! This is FuN!
