Improv Quilting: Inset Circles

  • Bolt Fabric Boutique 2904 Northeast Alberta Street Portland, OR, 97211 United States (map)

Saturday, June 13th
9:00am - 3:00pm
Level 1: You know how to thread and operate a sewing machine

This workshop helps you discover how simple it is to make inset circles. With Robin’s guidance you will use no rulers/no pins/no templates- nothing but scissors, a glue stick, and of course some fabric! She’ll help you explore making circles out of scraps and/or strip sets; solids, prints, or both- anything you might imagine! The only requirement is basic knowledge of using a sewing machine.

    • You can thread and operate a sewing machine

  • Techniques for creating inset circles of various sizes and creative ways to use them for different effects.

    • A variety of scraps. Bring some large enough to give your circle room to breathe. For example, if your circle is 3” have a piece at least 5”.

    • Lunch

Our classroom is on the second floor and is currently only accessible by stairs. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone.
