A Hong Kong seam finish is a lovely couture sewing technique used to bing the raw edges of seam allowances. Learn how to make Hong Kong seams, then take them even further. You’ll learn how to apply a decorative edge finish, create a narrow facing, and add an elegant touch to the inside of a jacket. Practice the techniques as you make samples in class.  

Taught by Marla Kazell.

All materials included. Students will take home their own set of samples.

    • How to thread and use a sewing machine

    • Basic sewing vocabulary

    • Sewing a straight line and maintaining a seam allowance

    • The Hong Kong seam finish and its various applications

Ages 18 and up.
