Machine Basics: Button Pouches

If you would like to learn how to use a sewing machine, this is the class for you. Ellis Roper will take you through the basics of how to thread and operate a sewing machine and get you started with skills that translate well from bags to apparel.

You will learn how to use a pattern, add a lining, and sew french seams, buttonholes, button loops, and topstitching in addition to learning how to use a sewing machine.

Ellis is a graduate of Portland Fashion Institute, with experience designing apparel and bags under his label ELEUSIV.

Ages 18 and up.

Our classroom is on the second floor and is currently only accessible by stairs. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone.
